Mahmoud Almashriqi , Business Development Director for the Middle East and Africa at FAAC Technologies, confirmed that the company continues to strengthen its position as one of the leading global players in access control solutions and smart security systems, drawing on more than 65 years of experience since its founding in Italy in 1965.
During his speech at Integrated Technics Showcase (ITS) Cairo 2026, organized in Cairo with the participation of eight global brands specializing in cybersecurity, protection systems, and smart solutions, he noted that the group has a strong global presence through 58 subsidiaries and 16 factories across multiple countries. This reflects the scale of industrial and technological expansion the company has achieved over decades of continuous development in gate solutions and security systems.
In the Middle East region, Al Mashriqi highlighted that the company has successfully built a strong network of strategic partnerships, most notably its ten-year collaboration with Integrated Technics. This partnership has helped expand the company’s solutions across the regional market through specialized teams and newly developed operational offices.
He emphasized that the philosophy of FAAC Technologies is based on the concept of “Security Without Barriers,” aiming to balance the highest levels of protection with smooth and seamless movement, especially in critical locations such as airports, banks, and data centers, where reducing congestion without compromising security standards remains a major operational challenge.
In this context, he reviewed the company’s airport-sector applications, explaining that it provides a fully integrated system beginning with perimeter protection through security barriers and high-impact bollards, passing through pre-screening checkpoints, and extending to passport gates powered by advanced biometric technologies including facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, and iris recognition. This is completed by boarding gates that ensure fast and secure passenger flow.
He also noted that the company combines German and Italian technologies within its portfolio, relying on the Magnetic brand from Germany, known for its ability to operate through millions of duty cycles, alongside Italian design excellence enhanced through collaboration with internationally renowned designers. This has enabled the company to combine high performance with modern aesthetics.
On the innovation side, he explained that the new generation of the company’s solutions is based on integrated control units that support connectivity through digital networks and APIs, allowing seamless integration with various enterprise systems while improving operational efficiency and data management.
He reviewed the company’s contactless access technologies, which rely on advanced biometric systems capable of identifying users quickly and accurately without the need for physical contact, thereby increasing the speed and efficiency of access processes in high-traffic locations.
Mahmoud concluded by emphasizing that FAAC Technologies does not merely provide mechanical solutions or entry gates, but fully integrated security ecosystems that are scalable and customizable, designed to ensure maximum reliability and continuous operation, even in the most complex operating environments.
