FAAC acquires the CoMETA group and enters into the security entrance business market

This heralds a strategic acquisition for FAAC that expands the current range of automatic entrances and adds specific competencies both in production and in design of interlocking security portals, emergency doors, armored doors, revolving portals, electromagnets, and security locks.
Bologna – 21 June 2021 – FAAC Group, an Italian multinational leader in the field of automation and vehicle and pedestrian access control, announces the signing of a binding agreement through which it will acquire from the Anselmi family 100% shares of CoMETA S.p.A. which controls the CoMETA group, a leading Italian operator in the security entrance sector.
In particular, the CoMETA group, with its 95 employees and 14 million Euro revenues, is the market leader in physical security solutions (security & safety). Since 1986 the company designs and develops products, systems and solutions with a high degree of security: electric locks, interlocking security portals, electromagnets, access control systems and software for the acquisition and control of biometric data.
CoMETA is headquartered in Barberino Tavarnelle (Florence), where it also has its R&D center and 3 operational offices: Arluno (Milan), Verona and Padua.

The transaction is subject to the usual closing conditions and the closing of the transaction is expected by the end of September, 2021.
